This passage connects the servant's area to the royal residences above. 
Unlike the main corridors it has no decorative mosaics or relief sculptures
to adorn it.  The hallway does however maintain its eight foot long by eight
foot diameter proportions keeping in perspective with the rest of the
palace.  A simple black steel door separates it from the lower level and
insulates the upper areas from ambient noise.
