One or two large-toothed barracuda-type fish wind their way through this
dark undersea passage, turning before the leave out of the south end.  They
seem to play a game of nerves as they get closer and closer to the exit but
then swim swiftly back to safety.  The water has become syrup-like in
texture with all of the saline and thermal chemicals floating about.  Vision
is very poor even with powerful light sources to guide the way.  The "click,
click, click" of the some supernaturally large crustacean pounds at the
walls and ears of those who approach with each crack, sending a shock wave
through the water.
