This quaint little book store is overflowing with shelves of pristinely
kept books.  Most of the text are written on bulky slabs of slate or
elegantly thin layers of untarnished metal bound for underwater use.  The
rest of the tomes, obviously created in the dry world above, have been
magically sealed to protect them from damage.  A quirky little merman with
thick glasses and little attention for customers busies himself with
reshelving volumes of new deliveries.
