The kitchen is a bustle of activity as cooks and helpers rush to prepare
and serve meals for the hungry patrons clamoring outside.  However, what is
most impressive is the strict order here despite the virtual chaos - each
employee has a specific task and each station is arranged perfectly to allow
maximum use of the space available without anybody getting in the way.  The
floor is mopped clean of oil and grease, no stray crockery or cookware lie
about, and the meals are always ready on time.  To the south is the
stairwell leading up to the second floor, and to the southeast is a
servant's passage adjoining the common room.
