Shifting patterns of light from the dome above and the muted sounds of
the ocean lend a sense of peace to this room.  Much of the space here is
filled by a large circle of small, cut grey stones that have been mortared
together.  This circle, even with the water level of the room, appears to
form the lip of a large, deep well.  Rising up from an impenetrable
blackness, ocean water fills the well to sea level, some distance from the
stone lip inside the room.
