Why did you unlatch the safety railing?  It was there for your safety. 
Why did you open the railing?  Was it just to get a better look at the
dizzying distance between you and the ground?  That was a stupid reason. 
Why, oh why, did you choose to step off the edge of the platform, the only
thing protecting you from certain death?  Now you have lost your footing and
