Mops, brooms, buckets, rags, and other cleaning implements and clutter are
strewn about.  The smell of lye soap and amonia assaults your nostrils as
have attempted to conceal under a pile of rags.  
     A rusty bronze lever protrudes at an angle from the north wall.
