You have entered a very large chamber with a vaulted ceiling.  The walls
are painted with ornate renderings of the constellations, detailed to the
extreme.  Along the top of the room you see a slit in the roof, through
which you can see stars.  A staircase leads downward from here at the
northern end of the room.  
     A primate's hand is sitting on the ground radiating an aura of evil.
     A blue orb has been dropped here.
     A massive telescope sits in the center of the room.
A wizened old man in a red velvet smoking jacket adjusts knobs on the telescope.
