During high tide great waves crash against the reinforced wall that
follows the coast of lower Avros and sea birds circle overhead.  The
street is spotless and fashionably dressed matrons stroll with their
children, enjoying the breeze off the sea.  
A dingy hound wanders the streets looking for food and shelter.
