A holy presence is almost palpable in this cramped little room where
those wishing to confess their sins come to unburden their souls.  Unadorned
walls of whitewashed plaster offer a canvas with no distraction for those
waiting here to gaze upon as they consider their deeds.  Before long the
Bishop will be hearing confessions from any whom would meet him here to
release themselves from their burden of sin.
