The Sorceress Catalana was born to a wealthy Telleri family after the ban
on magic in the city.  Unable to resist the pull of the arcane sciences, she
traveled the world, studying with various mages until finally joining with
Tristan and Michael to defeat the Chromatic Dragon of Rune.  It was she who
stood unarmed before this fearsome beast and cast the spell which sealed him
forever in his cave on Rune Mountain.
