An unusual structure that appears almost added to the house as an
afterthought, the solarium is mostly made of sheets of glass in a metal
frame.  A profusion of exotic plants provide shelter from the sun and
windows built in the south wall open to allow sea breezes to waft in.  A
pipe resting on an open book is on a table beside a leather wing chair and
an embroidery hoop beside a nearby chaise holds a work in progress.
