The intertwined boughs of the ancient, low-growing peach trees provide a
thick leafy barrier from the sun that makes this area considerably cooler
than on the street.  Sweet ripe peaches hang within reach, one or two lying
on the ground but still good.  From this green enclave it's hard to remember
you're in a large city.
