The trail that you have been following begins to fade away as you walk
through this section of the forest, and you are forced to bend down in order
to determine where it leads.  Because you are so busy concentrating on
finding the path, you don't notice that the ground is starting to slope
slightly downward here until it is too late.  You totter on the edge of a
sharp embankment before falling into a small pond with a great splash. 
Cursing, you resolve to watch where you're going from now on.
