As you step into the lobby of this swank hotel, you shake your head in
disbelief.  The interior decorator seems to have taken the establishment's
name literally, since all the furnishings are done in different shades of
blue velvet.  Although you find the place a bit tacky, it is one of the more
popular inns in New Rigel, and rooms usually have to be booked at least a
few weeks in advance.
