Cupcake I’ve heard of this before, but I’m not good at coding anything so I was wondering if anyone else could do this:

A macro/alias or whatever that when hit will just attack the first npc/pc in the room. It sure would make leveling a lot easier. :D

too bad it is illegal, eh?
Vintara I don’t think it’s illegal.

Yeah, I’d agree that it’s not illegal, because it’s a macro, not a trigger. The text sent to the mud is in response to the button push, not to output from the mud.

Cupcake, give me a list of mobs you’re willing to attack upon hitting that macro. Full short descriptions, as given by our NPC database.
Cupcake A bag lady is walking around town looking for people to take pity on her.

A bat is here, fluttering about.

A beautiful white swan is swimming in the pond here.

A beggar is in the streets begging for money.

A black raven is here.

A brown bat flies over your head.

A brown spider is spinning a web here.

A builder stands here.

A citizen is standing here.

A citizen stands here.

A cute little bunny is here.

A dangerous looking gang member watches you carefully.

A flasher is standing here on the corner.

A foreign visitor is in Templeton visiting some of its famous shops and sights.

A gnome child is here wandering the streets.

A human citizen is walking down the streets of town here.

A janitor dressed in cotton is here.

A leper is here begging for food and money.

A minotaur citizen is rushing about doing some daily work.

A persian cat roams the streets looking for something to eat.

A plumber is here.

A pooch is here looking for something to do.

A poor citizen stands here miserably.

A poor lost poodle is wandering about looking for its master.

A pudgy bird is chirping here.

A red colored jay is perched on a tree here.

A religious fanatic stands here shouting about the end of the world.

A resident of Templeton is sitting here quietly.

A rich citizen stands here.

A rich man’s wife stands here with her nose upturned.

A robin is sitting here looking for worms.

A sailor is here humming a tune.

A sewer rat stands here.

A Sidhe dignitary is roaming the streets enjoying the many sights.

A squirrel is looking for nuts and berries to eat.

An elderly citizen sits here awaiting death.

An elven artisan is here.

An elven wife stands here cleaning.

An owl is here looking back and forth for signs of danger.

This citizen seems rather content with their life.

This elf citizen is walking down the street enjoying the day.

A dwarven handyman is here fixing things.

A very large stray cat is searching for a meal here.

A fisherman is here sitting at home enjoying a nice pipe.
Cupcake Those are for me to mob right now in Templeton. Of course as I multi and such this will change. But I’m sure all I’ll have to do is plug in new NPC names which I’m capable of. :p

Those are ‘long descriptions’ but they will do fine. I was going to use the short ones to look them up anyway.

FYI, here are the different parts of a mob definition:

If you enter a room or just ‘look’ you see the ‘long description’ in the room’

Example: A large, menacing plant with teeth wavers in the stale air.

If you then ‘look menacing’ you see this:

Imported from the dracon city of Vir, this isn’t as much a flytrap as a
mantrap. Although the creatures of the underworld can sometimes grow to
hideous, freakish proportions, any insect big enough to necessitate a
predator this big is simply unprecedented. It snaps its jaws randomly, as
any brainless thing might, but even without a mind, this freak of evolution presents itself as a very creepy threat..
A Viridian flytrap is in good health.
It is a plant approximately 5’5" tall.

From that, the ‘short description’ is ‘a Viridian flytrap’, the ‘race’ is ‘plant’ and the paragraph ‘Imported from… …creepy threat..’ is either called the ‘extended description’ or just the ‘description’. Additionally the mob has ‘keywords’ or ‘names’ which probably include viridian, flytrap, menacing, plant, and teeth. Oh, and the double period is a typo from the game, and should probably be reported using the ‘typo’ command.

As to your script, I’ll put something together when I have a few minutes. (Though minutes seem to be rarer these days. Didn’t there used to be 60 in an hour? (Don’t get me started on the prevalence of hours!))

Cupcake thanks for all of the help :)

ooo my bad, thought you said trigger >_<

anyway, i can’t think of anyway other than maybe a script that constantly replaces keywords when you see a new mob, and the macro is ‘kill mobdesc’ or something… i am not very handy with coding, but i can sure as hell give half-baked ideas
Cupcake So whats up with this? :p
