Wavering in and out of your limits of mental and physical perception
stands a creature that defies most of what you understand to be natural law.
It seems to distort reality itself, or at least your perception of it.  One
moment, you are sure it's there, the next, you can't be certain.  You hear
alien whisperings within the depths of your mind, and can feel a force
tugging at you to release control.  This entity is certainly malicious, and
the instant that realization enters your mind, it is upon you!  Invisible
forces wrack your body, and tear at your very sanity.  This could have been
a fatal mistake.
