This quest is called 'Trip to Vesuvius',

Lord Vendredi [Sigil] is the master in charge of this quest.
Reports are coming to me from adventurers and merchants that some strange
things are going on along the North Road leading to Vospire. Reports of
thefts from merchants and of adventurers being attacked on their way to
Vospire have been increasing of late. So I would like you to head along the
road and visit several of the creatures who live along the way, rescue some
of the "nicer" ones and try to "persuade" tougher ones to stop attacking
people. Once you have done this, see if you can find any proof to bring
back to me of any particular creatures that may be behind this mess.
