Quest: Mage Tricks
This quest [32150] is called 'Mage Tricks',
for Adventurers levels 45 to 250.
Lord Vendredi [Sigil] is the master in charge of this quest.
The best way to win a battle is to hinder your opponent in some way. You
can lower their armor rating with the spell CURSE. You can reduce their
strength and agility and lower their regeneration by POISONING them.
One of the best ways to avoid damage and control the fight is to cast
BLINDNESS on your opponent. Unless your opponent can cure themselves or
fight blindly, you should easily win. Head to Abominus to see if he has a
CURSE scroll in stock, then head to Rune. An adventurer exploring the
Focault Magic Equipment Company can give you a scroll for BLINDNESS. To
wrap up your trip to Sepharia, visit Ganuk's Express Travels in Rune before
heading to the Tower of Art. A mage of unknown repute carres the scroll for
POISON. He can be found in the library. You will need INVISIBILITY
to slip past the guards. After gathering all the scrolls, return to Sigil
and visit Arianus. He can teach you everything you need to know about those
three spells. Finally, test out one of your new spells on one of the tough
guys in this town.
+++This quest requires you to cast the spell Blindness to complete a
special phase. If you do not have access to this spell at this time, you
can turn in this quest incomplete at no penalty.
Upon successful completion of this quest you can receive:
*Up to 55 quest points, 6 practice points, 50,000 experience points,
8 build points, 0 piety, and 5,000 gold pieces.
You have 300 minutes remaining to complete this quest.

Mage Tricks consists of:
Phase 1: Visit Abominus the magician.
Phase 6: Cast 'Blindness' on a gnome barbarian. [ Hidden ]
Ethne | Although I'm sure this will be corrected in the game soon, I'll document this for those who are interested. Phase 6 (casting blind on a gnome barbarian) is currently bugged and impossible to do. They are planning to fix this soon, but in the meantime, Phase 6 has been replaced with the following phase: Defeat 3/3 of a deft thief. |
