Overhanging treelimbs form a pleasant shade across the river's southern
edge.  The water's already chilling touch is accentuated by the lack of
sunlight causing a shiver to run up the spine of any transgressor.  The hip
deep water is so clear as to fully display the colorful pebble mosaic that
makes up the river's bottom, even in the dimmest of light.  The only sound
that can be heard is that of the wind slipping through the dark piney canopy
high above.
