Well-lit and handsomely furnished, this office is dominated by a large
desk and a leather-cushioned chair.  Upon the cherry-wood desktop, sits a
flickering oil lamp, ingeniously cantilevered from a heavy base upon a
linkage of brass rods so that it may be easily positioned to cast light
where it is needed.  A massive trunk sits under the frosted-pane window on
the southern wall and two full-bodied tabby cats lounge upon its flat top,
basking in the warm sun.  An unobtrusive door leads north.
