From here the icy road leads north to a large open area and the noise of
a crowd grows louder.  To the south the cluster of buildings that make up
the main part of the camp can still be seen.  The heavy logs of the
bunkhouse to the east block the cold wind, and it feels almost pleasant to
be outside.
