This small forecastle is only a sapling's height above the main deck and
maybe built a little sturdier than the main deck.  There are some heavy
wooden rails and wooden eyelets built into the deck, probably for mounting
some kind of catapult or other siege engine for when this mighty pirate ship
attacks its victims.  The foremast rises up from the center of the deck,
with ropes extending down to the main deck below and to the prow to the
north.  The forecastle extends to the east and west.
