A Pool of Red Slime                                    NW     -      -

A huge pool of slime covers the bottom foot or two of the floor, barring
your entrance to any lower levels.  At irregular intervals pillars of fire
shoot up and singe the ceiling.  The slime does not seem to have an
intelligence or be aware that you are here or it most likely would have
fried you already.  You can not see what lies below the slime, but you can
see that the stairs continue up to the northwest and down to the southeast. 

A thick, flame colored jelly covers the floor of the room.
