From the edge of the plateau Stinkfish river can easily be seen to the
north, as well as the lush green carpet of the canopy of trees from the
surrounding forest.  The exotic birds can be seen fluttering between them
and heard clearly as they sing their tuneless songs.  The rest of the
plateau to the south shows only minimal signs of vegetation, grasses and
weeds mostly, the trees seemed to have all but died out.
