The plateau like much of its surroundings is mostly rock but in the
cracks of slate some plant life tries to sprout out.  There are a few trees
in the area but most of them have withered and died.  There area is much
traveled and to the north over a cliff hangs a large sturdy wooden bridge. 
To the west is a large stone dwelling with smoke coming out of a make-shift
chimney.
A chubby halfling blabbers on almost incoherently about a sale.
