The light flooding through the clerestories high above you is caught in
vibrant reflections by the emerald-green marble floor, producing abrupt
effects of contrasts and sharp concentrations of color that focus attention
on the central, most relevant feature of the residence, the imperial chamber
far to your north.  A large, semi-circular columned bay serves as entrance
to the intricate hallway extending to your west.
