Surrounding foliage has been cut back to keep it off this wide road that
snakes along to one of the mineshafts.  Empty carts and large, open crates
sit along the road next to boxes of mining equipment.  Timber used to prop
up the mining tunnels lies piled up next to it.  It is somewhat curious as
to why all this equipment and host of different supplies have been simply
discarded.  For a modern, purportedly well-run operation, work seems to be
rather sloppy.
