The stairway that has ascended the last twenty feet now dips down into a
pool of luminescent water.  The pool rolls up in the center and dribbles
down the path in small riverlets across the steps.  The edge of the pool is
lined with fresh fish carcasses and tropical fruit that have been left to
decay.  Waist deep to a human the sacred fountain is corralled by a wall of
rock to the south, a magnificent petrified starfish fastened to the tower on
the north and a continuation of the steps ascending northwest.
