Standing at the base of the foremast and looking straight up would make
one dizzy.  It must have been a great view from up there when this vessel
sailed the open seas.  3 small chains blocks the steps leading upwards.  A
pool of blood lies frozen at the base of the foremast and streaks of it can
be seen along the wood from where it dripped from above.  Leading down from
here is a hatch that appears to be work related and not meant for leisure
passengers.
