The dark wafts of vapor part to reveal a graveyard of wrecked vessels. 
The ships all set on the ground far from the ocean where they once sailed. 
It is hard to fathom how they could come to be beached so far from the sea
but more than this it is an amazement to think how so many boats could be
lured into the same trap.  The landscape is inundated with heavy wooden
constructs from present day to over a thousand years ago.  The smell of
rotten wood dominates as powerfully as the sound of death that permeates the
area.
