The fissure runs far into the landscape, driving ever southward to
unknown horrors.  Fish that swim in and out seem to languor here and only a
few of the larger ones actually go further into the crevasse.  The taste of
heavy salt lies thick upon the water in contrast to the fresh water that is
maintained with in the city itself.  A clicking can be heard to the south
like a large crab snapping at food.
