The beauty of the cultivated gardens is inspiring but quickly replaced
with revulsion.  Although incredibly beautiful plants, they are being tended
to by hunched over slaves all tied together with shackles and chains.  They
slowly harvest the lichen into buckets, replacing the harvested lichen with
fresh young transplants.  Their torsos are uncovered, male and female alike
and covered with bloody welts which diffuse bloody wisps resembling a red
smoke into the water.  
A molting merman slave weakly strikes at the walls.
