Large cauldrons full of molten rock and metal are carried by four slaves
on two poles and carefully poured into molds.  The slaves are all barechest,
men and women alike and all of them bear disfiguring burn scars on their
feet, faces and arms from mishaps.  Long shadows play on the walls like
demons dancing around a bonfire.
