The heat in the mines emanates from a pool of molten lava in the corner
of this cavern.  Large cauldrons full of rock ore are being suspended over
the lava and melted down.  The mining operation is pretty efficient
considering the fact that there is no need to stoke a fire.  The lava is hot
enough for this purpose.  Neat stacks of refined metal bricks lie stacked on
palletes.  Bare chested men and women slaves work quietly but quickly,
prodded on by Salamander guards with rusty tridents.  The whole operation is
horribly reminiscent of some scene in Hades.
