You enter a long, dark, and dismal hallway.  Ebony shadows crawl along
the walls and ceiling in the flickering light.  You cannot ascertain the
source of the light which enables you to see.  Cobwebs drape the cold, hard
stone and waiver in the breezes which whisper down the passage.  To the west
door latched shut.  To your north, a marble archway leads into a small shop.
