This pit is newer than the one to the southwest, clearly still in active
use.  Slaves scurry about here, constantly dodging the feet of the giants
who mine the ore, and the falling slabs of earth that they knock down.  The
ground is littered with rock and even uncut gems, despite the frantic
efforts of the slaves to keep up with the pace of the miners.  This pit
continues to the south.

A burly giant miner with a crude pickaxe cleaves chunks of earth.
A giant guard peers at you as if it is trying to see into the very depths of your soul.
'No cause trouble in our town Zazou!' a giant guard exclaims. 'Me crack your skull good if you make trouble!'
