This pit is newer than the one to the west, clearly still in active use. 
Slaves scurry about here, constantly dodging the feet of the giants who mine
the ore, and the falling slabs of earth that they knock down.  The ground is
littered with rock and even uncut gems, despite the frantic efforts of the
slaves to keep up with the pace of the miners.  This pit continues to the
north and south.
