Four large wooden columns decend through the ceiling above, encircling a
small hatch.  A sturdy wooden ladder leans against the northern wall just
beneath the hatch, providing easy access.  A log book is resting on a small
shelf near the ladder.  Several instruments are also near by, including an
old spyglass.  To the south, the main entrance of the fort can just be made
out.
