The elaborate architecture of this derelict building shows a great deal
of expense and care was put into its construction, yet the owners abandoned
it less than a year after the mutineers' incident which gave the alley its
name.  Such an incident on one's front step would be upsetting there's no
doubt but you find it odd they would allow themselves to be driven from
their home over it.
