The Avros Courthouse is a nice enough building, impressive marble pillars
and enough inlay and plaster detailing to make you dizzy, yet somehow it
seems drab and gray.  A pall hangs over the whole building, reducing the
dramatic impact of the architecture.  Witnesses, plaintiffs and defendants
wait nervously in the hall outside the Federal Courtroom to the south.
