Description:

Flame wind, and its partner-spell 'ice wind' are two of the more damaging spells in the game. Flame wind is a shield-blockable room-damage spell. If cast outside of combat, the spell hits the first NPC or (in PK) player in the room (except those in the caster's formation), causing fire damage. If the damage is fatal, the character dies and the sheet of flame is reduced in power and continues on to hit the next eligible character in the room, repeating this until the sheet fails to kill a target it strikes and the caster enters combat with that character, or it runs out of power. Cast in combat, flame wind does damage in much the same way as out of combat, but targets are limited to characters currently in combat with the caster. Flame wind can blind characters with smoke, and can frag items susceptible to fire damage (both in inventories and loose in the room.)
