This quest [1062] is called 'Thievery Foiled!',
for Adventurers levels 25 to 50.
Lord Vendredi [Sigil] is the master in charge of this quest.
A plot to raid the treasury of my castle has been discovered. This must
not be allowed to happen. It is not known who is behind this, or even
whether it is true or not. I was informed of this, by an anonymous witness
to a conversation that was held in Sigil. A number of people need to be
interrogated, and the leader needs dealt with accordingly. Find a gnome
barbarian, and question him. He was seen at this meeting, and we need to
know what he knows about the security here at the castle. (It is well known
that the gnomes are into trinkets and gems of all sorts so they may be
involved as there are many of these in my vaults. Then find a Deft Thief,
and question him. He was also seen at this meeting as well. They are not
to be trusted, and will not hesitate to use force to silence you. So be
careful. Next find a sidhe merchant as these merchants are known to have a
love for money. It is up to you to find out whether or not they are
involved in this plot. The ringleader may well be a member of the Dark
Brotherhood. He is most likely to be the leader of this attempt at my
treasure. Kill a member of the dark brotherhood as an example to show that
we do not take such threats lightly. Then when all this is done, come back
to me and tell me of what you have learned. Your reward will be great
indeed upon your successful completion of this task.
