Haphazardly lobbed atop one another, thousands of boulders rise from the
lake bottom to form a bridge that bisects Lake Whompfish.  Refreshed by its
rolling waters, the pointy monoliths are a solid but dangerous footing.  A
slippery ochre algae moistly smothers the exposed portion of this jagged
seawall adding to its already deadly nature.  Small fish trying to flee
bigger fish bounce cruelly off its stoney surface or land flatly atop.  A
large ripple of waves can be seen moving against the natural currents like a
school of fish racing along the breaker's edge.  The lake reflects brightly
the celestial lights as it is the only part of the forest not crowded with
trees.
