A dense black fog encircles the area making it impossible to see even the
brightest of stars.  Murmurs waft in from the south spiced with the flavor
of still smoldering cinders.  The air remains still in defiance of a chill
that creeps inexorably into the very bones of those who dare stand
motionless.  This place is most wickedly cursed and nothing, but the
towering coral edifice, stands here to deny it.  A sad dirge can be heard
from all around in periodic perfection.
