Questmaster: Lord Vendredi [Sigil]
This quest is called 'Outbreak', for Adventurers levels 60 to 120.
Description of Outbreak:
A fortnight past we were visited by an emissary of Lord Agrippas court. A
routine matter I assure you. However, the chain of events it has sparked
have been anything but. Upon his arrival the gate guards fell ill as he
passed and a trail of black swill appeared behind him as he walked, as if
painted by an unseen hand. Anyone he came into contact with has fallen
victim to a foul affliction who symptoms are so unspeakable that I shall not
utter their festering nature here. I alone among those Lord Agrippas
emissary met with am spared, and only by the bevy of protective workings
laid upon my person at all times. My physicians tell me that the outbreak
is a form of black plague, but my most esteemed priests tell me that there
is the sickly scent of death magic behind this curse that has fallen on my
city. This has led me to believe that someone very powerful indeed must be
deliberately spreading this affliction in an effort to incite violence
against Lord Agrippa, or perhaps Too many of our city guards have been taken
by this illness to deal with it effectively, so I must first ask you to
staunch the flow by dispatching some of the most virulent cases. Then I
will need you to recover some curative medicines and bring them to the
barracks cook so that they might add the medicines to the meals they are
preparing for the fallen guards. I will also need you to seek out the fiend
spreading this dreadful plague and eliminate them before my citizens take
leave of their senses and cross the sea to march on Rune.
Upon successful completion of this quest you can receive up
to 40 quest points, 6 practice points, 26000 experience points, and 7000 gold pieces.
