Here in front of the mess hall, the wonderful smells of cooking swirl in
the icy wind.  The small tavern to the south is little more than a shack,
but is well-suited to providing a place to relax.  In the evenings light
shines from the doorway like a beacon, and shouts with raucous laughter hang
in the chill air.
