Fort Avenue enters the eastern edge of a small courtyard here.  To the
west, a stately statue rises above a cobbled courtyard.  Considering the
ramshackle condition of most of the buildings here, this modest stone statue
is quite an opulent adornment.  To the east, the sounds of voices trickle
out of a large tent, while the fort proper rises a short distance to the
north.  Fort Avenue continues to the north and south.
